Dear @ all,
our company has a registered Namespacename called "rtger". When I´m creating a new Product in the SLD (WebAS 6.40) and I´m asked for a vendor name, what value do I have to type in? Our full company name or is it sufficient to type in the Namespacename "rtger"?
And when I have to define a Namespace prefix in the "Define Namespace prefix" Screen, e.g. for a development component, what should I type in for the input field "Namespace Prefix"? Do I have to type in "rtger/examplename"?
Please help,it would be very kind of you if you can give me a detailed answer.
Hi Mehmet,
Vendor name are usually the domain names of the company. For e.g. sap.com.
For defining the vendor names you should use this convention. Its not mandatory but its the way SAP also does it.
Same is the case for Namespace Prefix. For eg if you create a namespace prefix by DC Name you can use the convention domain name/* for e.g. sap.com/*
Hope this helps.
Regards
Sidharth
