Hi,
did anybody tried to etablish a own enterprise service registry and use it with the ese? what is needed to get it online? I would like to use custom developed webservices from our sapteam.

I don't think that connecting directly to the SAP database is the way to go, it's also unsupported by SAP from what I know.
Instead of this use Web Services or the SAP Connector for Microsoft .NET or Enterprise Services or XI/PI or BizTalk or ... and read the data out by using standard SAP interfaces like BAPI, RFC, or Enterprise Services and store the information in SQL/Access. You can also use the .NET Data Provider for SAP Businss Suite and SQL Server Reporting Services or in case you want to connect to SAP BW the .NET Data Provider for NetWeaver BI in order to read data out of SAP and store it in SQL Server for further reporting.
