Former Member

hi guys,

I am trying to install NW7.0 SR3, at windows 2003 sql2005.

After executing SAPINST, and selecting TYPICAL options, it gives below error

FSL-02075 Error Retrieving INformation about file System exports(Shares): Access is denied

ESAP instException : error Text undefined.

I am saved my master dump in "Y" drive and Mapped with Server. Dump folder name is NW70SR3.

Should i have to anything in windows level users account?

Please suggest me how to go with it.

regards

Jaichan

hi,

a quick fix would be to use the same user with the same password on

- the server where the netweaver system is installed

- the server where the Y: drive is locally mounted (unless it is san/lun).

We had this issue installing NW7.01 on Windows 2008 R2 because we were using virtual hostnames (SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME option) on sapinst during the install. We applied registry change from note 360515 to resolve the error.

@David Durham

I know this is nearly a year old, but thank you. This solved also my problem.

Hi Jaichan,

>I am saved my master dump in "Y" drive and Mapped with Server

It is not recommended to install over network drives. Dump your DVDs to local drives and attempt the installation again to see if the error persists.

Hi,

If enough space is there in your local drive copy the dump to local drive and install.

Or else check whether administrator right (full permission ) is there for your "y" drive for installation user.

Hello.

1) If your PC are in DOMAIN, for installation you must be Domain administrator or , domain administrator must do some steps for you (check in guide).

2) If yuor PC not in domain, you must be member of local group "Administrators" , check it.

3) Do not use Mapped drives for installation.

Hi,

Are you installing with the <SID>adm windows user ?

Is this user local admin of your server ?
