Hi,
As told by shrama COPA is Controlling Profitability analysis.
Integration with PS. Profitability of the project can be measured by posting poject financials in to a COPA segment.
In settlement rule, you will define settlement receiver as COPA segment.
Before settlement at every period end you will run RA for the Project. You will calculate COGS ( Cost of Goods sold) , WIP, Accural Revenues, Revenues in excess of billing if any, POC. T-code KKA2.
Next you will settle the costs to COPA segement.
Calculated Costs and Calculated Revenues are posted in to COPA segment. The difference of the same will be your profit. Calculated values are POC * Planned values.

hi Chandarsai,
Actully when you configure the system for settlement that time you will decide where will you send you settled data .in COPCA(Controlling profitability analysis ) or to COPA.
for customer project ..before doing settlement RA is required . according to RA data settlement will be done .
for this some config will be done in RA Method ..there you will decide on what status you want to Process your RA.
to make good command over that study Controlling . most of things will be clear from there.

Hi Dear ,
COPA Stands - Controlling profitability analysis..actually in this we analyse the profitability of a project after settlement...
Like when you do setlment in project , you can transfer your data in to financial accounting and in to Profict center accounting / or in COPA ..where you will calculate the profit and other things for your project.
COPA has segment to use as controlling object.
rewards points if useful.
