Hi,

First, define a new category in the TCODE ALRTCATDEF

add user in fixed recipient.

In the alert configuration add a new rule with parameters:

Also refer this blog for more:

Also check whether the configured user has rights to receive the alert messages in the alert inbox. If not you will not receive the alert.

Alert can be triggered in different ways.

1) Triggering by Calling a Function Module Directly.

3) Triggering with an Event Linkage.

4) Triggering with the Post Processing Framework (PPF) or Message Control (MC)

hi,

there are two type or alert

1) alert for inrterface failure:-

this can be configured using ALRTCATDEFTCODE and defining the rule for that at RWB.you can triggred alert from message Monitoring also using UDF by calling the RFC SALERT_CREATE

2)alert for the component failure:- this type of alert is triggered for any componenet failure like" queue is struck."

this configuration is done at RZ21 and RZ20 by using method CCMS_Send_Alert_to_ALMu2019

SAP not recommend Alert because it checkes for each message flowing from Xi and use lot of WP for that.

you can trigger alert using BPM also .the advantage for using BPM is that you can send the dynamic text as a alert message.
