Hi,

I think you have to close this issue since it is a missing functionality from SAP B1, the solution for you is the suggestion from sizing guide of B1. here is also suggestion from SAP Support:

Dear Mr. AAA

We have investigated on the issue.

As you can see in 2005A SP01 "SAP Business One System Requirements

(Sizing Guide)", the three types of Dot Matrix printers which are

supported are:

- Citizen PROdot 300

- Epson FX-880

- OKI MICROLINE 320 Elite

LX-300 is not listed that is to say no testing has been done regarding

the compatibility.

Please in that case kindly refer to Note 1028874 for missing

functionality.

And if you still want to resolve, try to change the dpi of the printer, it will make the font size more smaller or larger but it won't still make as same as in the PLD of B1

Hi,

Here is the latest update about the LX-300 printer from SAP Support:

Thank you for your reply.

Currently there are only three types of dot matrix printers which are

supported. That is to say tests have been done with only the three types

of printers with their compatibility with B1. For other dot matrix

printers such as LX-300 compartibility tests have not been done which is

to say there may exist problems when printing with such printers. It is

the current system limitation

So, I suggest to close these threads but if you need another work around from members, just let it be.

Hi Agung,

Here is a way out for the issue you have submitted. I can't guarantee that this wayout work perfectly:

Question:

As we know that the dos matrix printer supports dos prompt and thus printing speed and

life of the printing head is comparatively more than what we print the same in graphical format.

So when I tried to print from SAP Bone in dot matrix printer, the printing speed is very slow and quality of printout is not good enough.

Any clarifications on this regard would prove very helpful to me.

Solution:

Do you use one of this printer types:

Dot Matrix, Printer, Needle Printer, Citizen ProDot 300 , Oki Microline, Epson FX880, Epson FX890 ?

Here the stepwise I have tried :

In order to print using Dot Matrix printers, follow the below

instructions:

1. Run SAP Business One.

2. Click the upper menu 'File' and select 'Page Setup'.

3. The Print Setup window opens. Under 'Paper', in the field 'Size', select 'Letter' from the drop down menu.

4. Click OK to confirm your selection.

5. On your desktop, click Start => Settings => Printers.

6. Right click on the required Dot Matrix printer and select 'Printing Preferences...'.

7. Click the 'Paper/Quality' tab page and click the 'Advanced' pushbutton.

8. Under'Paper/Output'=> 'Paper Size', click on the underlined paper size(e.g. A4) and select 'Letter' from the drop down menu.

Note that if you leave the value 'A4', each page will be spreaded over 2 pages when printing using Dot Matrix printers.

9. Under 'Graphic'=> 'Print Quality', click on the underlined value (e.g. 230X250 dots per inch) and select '120X144 dots per inch' from thedrop down menu.

Note that in case the value '120X144' is not available you should select a similar value from the list.

I did not test it yet and I am not so sure about the result but you could test it.

Agung,

Here is an info from sizing guide of SAP B1 2005A and system requirement of SAp B1 2007A :

A. Sizing guide SAp B1 2005A Sp 01 V1.5

Supported Dot Matrix Printers

SAP Business One supports the following models of dot matrix printers:

1. Citizen PROdot 300

2. Epson FX-880

3. OKI MICROLINE 320 Elite

Note

SAP Business One does not support integrated printers (printer/fax/scanner/copier combined

machines).

B. SAP B1 system requirement

Supported dot-matrix printers

The following dot-matrix printers are supported by SAP Business One.

1. Citizen PROdot 300

2. Epson FX-880

3. OKI MICROLINE 320 Elite

Note:

SAP Business One does not support integrated printers (printer / fax / scanner / copier combined machines).

So, I am afraid Epson LX 300 is not supported by SAP B1.This thread is also helpful to know more:

Hi,

Make sure that you have selected the above printer as default printer in document properties and paper format. Also in the document properties the print preview layout font is same as the font that you have created the PLD else your preview would be different than printing.

Aditya.
