who can introduce me the field 'Negative posting' in billing type?
And the relationship of values between A and B?
Tks.
Hi,
Negative posting
Indicator that causes the transaction figures to be reset for a document item.
If the indicator is set, then the transaction figure update is changed. A correspondingly set posting on the debit side reduces the credits side of the account. A credit posting reduces the debit side of the account.
Use
The indicator can be entered in billing types for credit memos and cancelations. It only has the required effect in FI, if the company code permites negative postings.

Sumith

Normally, receiviables and payable are entered in the opposite side in accounting entry.
Suppose ,your client wants you to post all entries in one side as receiviables. That means all the Payables like Credit memo and Cancellations will also be entered/posted as receiviables in the receiviable side.
So, obviously if you want to show/post those Payables (Credit memo, Cancellation) as receiviable then you have post them as Negative receiviables.
If you want to do this then, for those payables billing types (CREDIT MEMO & CANCELLATION), you have to activate the "Negative posting "field in the Billing document type as negative posting allowed.
But, Negative posting must be allowed/permitted by the Company code to do this and it does not have any effect on accounting.
