Multiple customer order Created for VMI scenario

Hi,

I have a VMI scenario, where in i have customer and vendor and material master maintained respectively. There is also a trasnportation lane maitained between the locations.

The problem is that the system is creating multiple sales order for the same day and same material even though the mode of transportation is having enough capacity to cater to all the sales order created for the material for the day.

Prefered solution is to create a single sales order for the material and date.

What could be the probable reason for this if anybody has encountered this problem before.

please check if you have maintained any VMI purchasing groups in the product master. If you have mainatined it, then system creates orders separately for customer's purchasing groups

Hi Santosh,

The TLB shipment created is based on rule maintained in TLB profile. Hence you can control creation of TLB orders.

Have you defined this rules based on your means of transport capacity in terms of you UOM..
