MRP-Network order into Production order

Hi ,

We are taking a MRP run on Project.While doing so system generates Network order for the Header material for which I mentioned strategy as 85-Assembly processing with network/project.We want system should generate the Planned order with the same stategy to the material so that further processing should be in PP module.

Is it possible to convert network order into planned order ? if yes then pl guide.

Hi,

You need not convert network order to PP order. Configure assembly processing such that PP order will get generated when sales order is saved.

Hi ,

In such case Project will not get triggered from the system.How we can achieve the production order as well as project from the same sale order.How to do this ?

We can generate only 1 type of order for 1 material thru assembly processing. To address ur req I can think of 2 options:

1. Generate network order and use network activity as production order. M talking @ production in PS.

2. Generate PP order and assign it to WBS manually.

Currently we are crating production order manually but it is an added acivity and we are thnking to avoid it.

How the production person could be initiated ?

How we can stop further processing of bottom level planned order until the Top level production order is not created ?
