SI4 DB2 License issue

Former Member

Hello,

I ordered the CD "SAP NetWeaver Preview on Linux and IBM DB2" last month. Today I have installed SUSE 9.1 and the the preview CD to get a bit familar with DB2 and SAP ABAP/Java dual stack.

But the SAP system SI4 is not able to start. After some investigation (I have not used DB2 before) I found the reason:

si4host:db2si4> db2licm -l

Product Name = "DB2 enterprise Server Edition"

Product Identifier = "DB2ESE"

Version Information = "8.2"

expired Date=Expired

There ist no valid license for the database.

But I see no possibility to apply for an evaluation license key system SI4 on web page http://www.sap.com/minisap

How can I get an evaluation license key for the SAP system SI4 on Linux DB2?

Best regards

Thomas

Hello Siddhesh,

I got answer from the Linux Lab (In the linux FAQ , there is an email address )

for the SI4 test drive there are no valid license from IBM anymore.

There are a new DB2-Version Test Drive (32 bit) available into "SAP Knowledge Shop" http://www.sap.com/about/company/shop/index.epx

The DVD number is5008301.
