Hi,
I want to add an additional field in to Solution manager.
To be more specific, for each solution manager issue that is there, i want a field to be there, to show the "Effort Time taken"
(unique requirement)
So, i am looking to define a new field for messages.
Is there any screen (In Transaction view or Fast entry) which i can use to carry this out?
Please reply Asap.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Prakhar,
I actually cannot do step 2, becuase of what i described.
I selected CRM_ORDERH and went to SLFN0001. when i go to new entries, there, i get a screen, where i have to enter 'Text Type"
but the drop down here, does not have the object that i created.
I don't think i can give the object that i created in the 'Text Type' field.
Becuase my object has 6 characters, and the 'Text Tye' field allows us to type in only 4.
Pls advice

Hi Prakhar,
Thank you for the clarification.
I have assigned you points sorry couldnt assign earlier.
I created my object. I specified a Object name and decription.
Selected the option Update and Editor application as TX.
When i went to assign this to CRM_ORDERH, i came across this issue;
I went to create new> And theres a field to enter Text Type (a drop down)
The object that i created in Step 1 is not shown there.
When i go to the list of Text objets and ID's created (Step 1)
i can see the object that i created.
Please advice.
thank you.
Hi,
you have two option if you want a separate field like this than use EEWB as Mahantesh suggest but that require development.
Second option Easy way
you can add the field in the Text Determination field itself or the drop down.....where long description exists.
For this you can add new entry from spro->text determination under service desk scenario specific settings.
So user can select the field Efforts and then enter its value.
You can also put a validation for this field using the DNO_EVENT_SAVE so that whenver and wherever you require can validate this field.

Dear Fr,
Pls go to
Step1
Spro->sap solution manager->configuration->scenario specific->service desk->node text not found->text determination procedure->define text object and text type
Here select text object and create your req field.
Step 2
Spro->sap solution manager->configuration->scenario specific->service desk->node text not found->text determination procedure->Define text det procedure
Select CRM_ORDERH
then click procedure on the left side and select SLFN0001 from the right side
now click def of procedure and here add new entry which you have added in the step 1.
Now in the crmd_order or the ticket screen on the right side you see your new field appearing in the drop down list...
Feel free in case of doubt
If your query is resolve please assign pts and close the thread
Hi Prakhar,
Thank you so much for the information.
I have a query.
In
Step1
(Spro->sap solution manager->configuration->scenario specific->service desk->node text not found->text determination procedure->define text object and text type
Here select text object and create your req field.)
i went in to the system. Selected, "Text Objects and IDs"
when i go in Change mode, i can see objects that are defined.
So, is there a specific object i have to select?
Or do i create a new Object?
If so, What is the save mode (Options:Dialog, Save, Not in text File)
And Editor (Options:Editor application,Line width, Style,form)
that i have to select?
Appreciate your help
Hi,
You can do this with EEWB. Whic is Easy Enhancement Workbench tool used for the screen development in CRM.
Following blog may help you for EEWB
and you can assign this screen in screen sequence using transaction CRMV_SSC.
reward if it helps u.

mahantesh
