Problem with report /CCM/INITIALIZE_CME

Former Member

Hi All

We have just installed CCM 2.0 and am trying to initialize the catalog. When I run /CCM/INITIALIZE_CME, I receive an error saying "Error when initializing predefined characteristics and data types". SLG1 says there's a problem /CCM/CX_OBJECT_CREATION_FAILED when creating /CCM/AMOUNT.

Is anyone able to help?

We are on SAP_ABA SAPKA70005.

Thanks in advance.

Exact same problem here. Our CCM system:

SAP_ABA 700 0006 SAPKA70006

SAP_BASIS 700 0006 SAPKB70006

CCM 200_700 0003 SAPK-27003INCCM

Will appreciate any input.

Cheers,

serguei,

Due to your WAS release 70006, the best way is to open an OSS message.

I did open an OSS message. At SAP Support suggestion, we applied Note 913816, which solved the problem. Although the note is not currently available in English, it can be implemented (program change only) via SNOTE transaction.

Cheers all,

Thanks very much Serguei.

This has indeed fixed the problem!

Hi Serguei,

After initializing and going to CCM "Edit Catalogs" did you get a BSP problem with exception "CX_SY_DYNAMIC_OSQL_SYNTAX" with error "SAPSQL_WHERE_PARENTHESES"??

Thanks - really appreciate your help,

Paula

Paula: No I did not get the BSP error... because I did not go to Edit Catalogs after /CCM/INITIALIZE_CME failed I stopped right there, and waited for the report to be fixed.

Thanks Serguei. We managed to fix the BSP error by applying notes #921561 & #912214 and updated our patches to BASIS 700_06, ABA 700_06, KW 700_06, PI 06, SAP_AP 700_03.
