Remote client copy --Table classification errors.

Hi All,

I am performing a remote client copy between the systems with same patch level.

When i perform a test run i get the following errors.

Table/Object Component Error

/ASU/SCMATASKLST Table Def. Missing Locally

/ASU/SSMOFFICE Table Def. Missing Locally

/ASU/SSMTREE Table Def. Missing Locally

/ASU/SSMTREED Table Def. Missing Locally

/ASU/SSMTREET Table Def. Missing Locally

/ASU/SSMUSTATUS Table Def. Missing Locally

/ASU/SSMUSTATUST Table Def. Missing Locally

/ASU/TSSM Table Def. Missing Locally

/ASU/TSSMT Table Def. Missing Locally

/ASU/TSSM_CONTNV Table Def. Missing Locally

/CWLD/CONF_HELP Table Def. Missing Locally

/CWLD/CONF_OBJ Table Def. Missing Locally

/CWLD/EVT_CUR Table Def. Missing Locally

/CWLD/EVT_FUT Table Def. Missing Locally

/CWLD/IDOCC Table Def. Missing Locally

/CWLD/IDOCD Table Def. Missing Locally

/CWLD/LOG_HEADER Table Def. Missing Locally

/CWLD/LOG_LINK Table Def. Missing Locally

/CWLD/LOG_OPTION Table Def. Missing Locally

/CWLD/OBJECTS Table Def. Missing Locally

/CWLD/WIZ_IN Table Def. Missing Locally

The list goes on.There are 1045 table definitions missing in the list.

I can not either ignore these errors or transport the table structures(as there are lot of SAP standard tables).

Could you please advice me how to proceed in such case???????

Nagaraja,

can you make sure that both systems are exactly the same? I wouldn't recommend to proceed with the client copy as this may cuase big trouble for the system. I guess there is a major difference between both systems. Check add-ons and so on and don't proceed.

Try to adapt the destination system to the source system.

Hi kaleem/andre,

Thanks a lot for your response.

I over saw the patch levels and now i have brought both the systems to the same component levels.

Still the table classification error persists.

The only improvement is the number of table difference reduced from 1045 to 950.

I have run a RFC system comparision in SCC9 and found a lot of table differences.

What i am looking for is an option to continue the client copy with out ignoring these errors.

Or

Do you suggest a system copy in that case?

Hi Nagaraja,

There will be difference in DDIC.

If you want to transport from QAS or PRD to DEV you can move the table definations by transport request and perform the copy.

You can also exclude that tables from being copied (check note 70290 ) if it is ok for your case.

Hi Nagaraja,

to be honest: from my point of view a system copy would be the best way (if it is possible). Excluding tables and so on during a client copy can cause problems - I would not recommend this.

Moreover: if a system copy isn't possible try to determine the differences between the systems and try to fix it. It seems there are some addons installed or so. Try to negotiate which addons where installed and install them in the target system too.
