What are uses of CJAL t-code?

Dear experts,

Would any of you please shed some light on uses on CJAL t-codes?

I think this might be used to send master data in Project system from SAP--> legacy system?

Or to send master data across SAP environment??

And what are steps in implementing this t-code??

Clarification is appreciated.

Under SPRO you maintain the settings mentioned below:

Cross-Application Components>Predefined ALE Business Processes>Accounting>Master Data Distribution>Distribution of Work Breakdown Structure

Settings:

Maintain logical systems

Maintain distribution model

Generate partner agreements

Activate object types in inbox/outbox

You can send master data across SAP environment but you can make changes to it only in source system.
