Inbound EDI with XI

When we do traditional EDI with EDI subsystem and SAP. the EDI subsystem put the IDOC in SAP system folder and makes the call to startrfc program with folder name and port, which tells SAP to pick the IDOC file and process.

How does the XI system makes the call to startfrc after it places the EDI file in SAP directory?

XI has an inbuilt IDOC adapter that can send IDOC content to backend ECC system using RFC layer. The IDOC data doesn't have to be in flat file format.

I found that we need to schedule program RSEINB00 to pick the files.

If i use this. I think i need to give a constant inbound file name(like order_in.out). instead of dynamic name(use FM:EDI_PATH_CREATE_MESTYP_DOCNUM to generate file name)

Am i correct?
