Setting category in Time Scatter chart

I'm trying to plot dates in the X axis and Quantity sold value in the Y axis.

My Business Graphics component contains Category and Series.

Series has point with one timevalue and one numeric value. (date is time value and quantity sold is numeric value) .

My graph assumes the X axis and Y axis values automatically.

I want to set months as Category ( for better readability) . but i'm not able to do so. please suggest a way to solve this.

start chart designer> time axis> line 1 year, line 2 months; line 2 format MMMM

Neeraja,

In the BusinessGraphic UI Element, right click and Select Insert Cateogy, In the Description, bind your context or enter text. Also check what kind of graph you are inserting in the BusinessGraphicUI element properties of chart type.

Thanks! I found the solution

in chart designer --> time Axis - I had to set the format of months to MMMM. i got months in X axis. you need not have a category for time scatter chart!!
