I have defined a couple of jobs in transaction SM36 which run every night.
Sometimes a job fails because of a dump, a system downtime, etc.
Can I define the job in some way that I get a E-Mail when it fails?

This will surely help what you wanted to do.
Lemme know if it helped you.
Thanks,

Hi Rakesh,
Thx. Sounds very interesting.
But I could find no information in that link how to connect an alert to a background job....

Daniel
