SAP ECC6 is running very slow

Dear Sir,

We are facing problem of very slow speed of our SAP ECC6 Production Server . The slow performance has been very significant since the last 20 days .

I have checked in ST03n , the CPU utilization is hardly 20% and Memeory free is also approx 50% .

Kindly guide us as what steps need to be followed to tune the Server for having the good performance .

We assure to give full points for the suggested solution pl .

Hi,

Check out whether there are any background jobs scheluled in SM21.

Sometimes it consumes buffer memory so it can also slow down the server.

If it doesn't works then you have to check with your hardware.

Are you running the DB statistics job frequently. It's a major performance factor.

What operating system do you use?

Bad performance with enough free ressources could indicate a hardware damage (for example a dying hard drive etc.)

Can you verify, that the operating system and/or other software works fine and only the SAP system is slow?
