Hi,
These are few questions about PPMs:
1. If I have 5 PPDS PPMs for a product and location, can they all be status "blank" ?
2. I am assuming 1 to be active and blank to be inactive. am I right?
3. Can you have all 5 with status blank?
4. Are these still considered in planning?
5. How is this status set in PPM? is it during CIF or manually set?
What is the corresponding parameter in R/3 for the status?
Is this the BOM status?
6. I also see status 0- what is this?
Thanks.
Dear Visu,
Folowing is my Understanding:
1. If I have 5 PPDS PPMs for a product and location, can they all be status "blank" ?
I am not sure about status "Blank" Either it should be 1 or 0.
2. I am assuming 1 to be active and blank to be inactive. am I right?
1= Active, 0 = Inactive
3. Can you have all 5 with status blank?
You can have five inactive PPMs.
4. Are these still considered in planning?
Nope......
5. How is this status set in PPM? is it during CIF or manually set?
Through CIF status will be set automatically if your PV is correct.
6. What is the corresponding parameter in R/3 for the status?
In R/3 If BOM & recipies are correct & consistent then after your PV creation you can do consistency check for PV & after saving itt system will activate the PV.
8. I also see status 0- what is this?
0 is Inactive status.
Hope it will help You.

Hardik

Hi Visu,
The PPM you want to use need to be assigned to active model 000 .
In case of multiple PPDS PPMs , the system will pick up the one with validity of dates for the PPM, highest priority(numerically the lowest number) and lot size range - in that order. In case there are multiple valid PPMs in terms of date validity and lot size range and with same priority, pick up the first one.
