Hi All,
We can send the mails inside and outside domains successfully but in SCOT they are showing in error.
Also in SOST the status is in error with message 'Message cannot be transferred to node SMTP due to connection error (final)'.
Kindly suggest.
Regards,
Rahul.
Interesting..Problem..
Do you have application servers installed with your SAP systems ?
If yes , is the smtp configured on all servers?
Can you check the status of dev_status bind trace from smicm ?
I had similar problem and I am trying to relate it with your problem.
Shall I suggest ,you just open the port 8025 in firewall and change the port in your profile parameter.
icm/server_port_# = PROT=SMTP, PORT=8025, EXTBIND=1
Good Luck
Amit

The port is not blocked.
We have removed the access of the SAP Server from exchange relay server.After sending the message it shows the green status but the mail is not delivered.
After restoing the access at exchange server the mails are deleiverd but the status is in error.

Dear Rahul,
Check SCOT, the configuration of the SMTP should look like:
Mail Host: the Exchange server domain name (FQDN)
Mail port: 25
Code Page: what ever you need (like 4110 unicode UTF8)
in the supported address choose Internet then click on the SET button and include your company address like:@XXX.ac.in:)
In the SAP's user manager (SU01) the user need an email address to be able to send emails.
Please check weather the default domain in transaction SCOT>menu>settings is set or not.
Check SAP note 487754. & 455140 Also check that in Tnx SCOT
-->Node SMTP
-->Supported address type
-->button internet set.
--> Address area
'*' must be there.
Regards,
Ashutosh
