Java processes note shown in SAP MC

Hi all,

I have just finished an installation of NW70 SR3 ABAP+JAVA and I have launched the SAP MC (not the MMC) console to monitor the processes.

However, under the instance there is no tree for the AS JAVA processes.

rdisp/j2ee_start is set to 1 and I am able to access the Java Disp + CSC + server by :

http://<hostname>:5$$00.

Any ideas?

Brgds,

Loukas

Hi Loukas,

does the abap and java stack have the same instance nr ?

Possibly sapinst could not create the MMC snap in for the

java instance. you can add it manually using the microsoft

management console by specifying SID, instance nr, etc.

Hope this helps.

kind regards,

Andreas

Hi Andreas,

well it is installed on Linux so no MMC possible.

Yes the abap+java have the same instance number and this is the tricky part.

Last week I had the JAVA Admin course in Walldorf and the SAP MC worked fine. You could see the Java servers.

Now I am lost.

I changed the parameter j2ee_start from the default 0 to 1 and restart but no help.

Loukas

One more thing which I noticed right now:

Only the ABAP Database is displayed in the SAP MC. Not JAVA DB and no Java server processes as decribed above.

However on http://hostname:5$$00 all java processes seem to be up and running.
