Billing header customized text in VOTXN to be made mandatory

Hi,

I want to make a text field mandatory for billing header which is created in VOTXN

I tried the following:

1. Using Incompletion log

I found that there is no incompletion procedure for billing header

and checked it out in T.code: OVA2

2. Using transaction variant SHD0

But could not find that text field. How to do it.

Hi,

As per configuration & SHD0 there seems to be no provision to make the billing header text mandatory.

But if you still need to pass text in billing header, may be you can do this:

Make the text mandatory in you preceding documents (eg: obligatory in order)

Further mark the tick of reference mandatory in your billing header text procedure, & add to it an access sequence so that text gets copied into billing header.

Additionally, you may also give a try to make the text entry screen in billing header greyed out thru SHD0.

Hi,

We cannot make a field mandatory in the Billing document, as this document is a collection of preceding documents (sales order and delivery doc.).

Make the field mandatory in the Sales order, and make sure it picks up as part of copying control. This should help your situation.

Also, educating the end-user would be of essence.
