Hello Experts,
I have installed SAP Solamn 7.0 to setup the Earlywatch alert setup, Service level reporting,Sysmon, Sys admin, and BPM
During the Solman 7.0 installation i selected the installation Parameters below
1.Windows Domain (Domain Model) - > I checked (Selected) the <Local Istallaton>
2.Registration in System landscape directory -> <Configure a local SLD >
Unfortunately i selected the Local installation intead of Domain. Now i want to setup the Earlywatch alert setup, Service level reporting,Sysmon, Sys admin, and BPM. (withECC-6and CRM- 5 already installed)
Please clarify, wether my solman system will generate the Earlywatch report. when i Goto Operations Setup -> click Setup earlywatch alert link - receive a error message like page cannot be displayed..?????
1.Is it possible to generate the EWA report with local Installation ?.
or
I have to install the Solman system parameter as <use domain of current server> or <use different server>.. ??????
Thanks
Thirumal
please switch of the proxy of your local IE (for testing only), then try to access the link again.
But I think you don't need this to configure EWA.
Please use sdccn in the system which should send the EWA to the solman.
Then smsy in solman: Environment-solman operations - Admin sdccn to set the SolMan as the master system for EWA

HI Timm,
I have turned off the Proxy settings in my IE,
I tried the link still same problem. Its trying to get the paage - after 15 0r 20 seconds issue a message page cannot be displayed.,
when i try assign solman (Environment-solman operations - Admin sdccn)as master system i receive a error message like " Back destination from system CRM to master system SM1 cannot be found.
Then i tried - Satilite system-> Sdccn - Goto - settings- tak specific - settings - Tried to add the SOlman system/master system after selected the back destination, its prompts me the SID/installation number , When i enter the SID as SM1 and solamn installation number : sap-intern popup the error message "enter a numeric value"
My sap solman system number is sap-intern.
Please let me know how to fix this.
I have two qustion
1. Why Setup earlywatch alert not opening ?. is it because of my system number (Sap intern with valis license till jan - 2009) issue?.
2.Why sap system not accepting alpha numric as system number.
How to fix the issue. ?
Thanks
Thirumal
Hi, Marcus,
Sorry for the delay response.. I caught last train and reached my home now.
I was able to ping the full qualified domain name.
One thing I observed that - When I ping the Solman from Satilite system either hostname /FQDN - Its pings/gives same IP address.
Via remote connecion i logged into My Solman server Windows serve - Command prompt - I ping the same solman server - it pings diffferent ip address.
Then i put Ipconfig /all -
one IP address displayed on the first row which one we ping from satilite system, anothe IP address displayed on last row.
Symptom tells that It may/maynot be a IP address issue. could you tell me how to proceed ?.
Thanks
Thirumal

do you have a proxy configured for the internet explorer?
SMICM is for the ICM (instead of ITS)
to configure the early watch alerts you can use sdccn
and then SMSY in the SolMan

MY solman 7.0. I followed the simulator and configured the settings. now early watch alert not generating..
Is there any settings we have to do in Setup earlywatch alert link?.
How to fix the issue?..
thanks
Thirumal.
Hi,
Local or Domain installation has no relation with your EWA.
Obvious, you can configure EWA in your local installation.
Check your proxy settings in your default web browser.
This will solve your problem.
Feel free to revert back.

Hi Raghuman,
Thank you very much..
MY Solaman system setup is like Win2003/SQL 2005.
you mean you want to setup the proxy settings in IE -> tools -Options - connections- Lan settings..
Please let me know if its wrong ?.
also I want to how to check wether ITS server running or not.
Thanks
Thirumal
