Material determination and BOM

Hi Gurus,

I am working on material determination as an alternative to Sales BOM using LUMF, where I need a line item below parent item. Parent item doesnot have any importance and pricing is carried at line item level. I have assigned item categories in the following manner:

ZOR NORM PSA1 ZTAX

ZOR NORM PSA2 ZTAX ZTAPS

ZOR NORM PSEL ZTAX ZTAPS

ZOR NORM PSHP ZTAX

But I coudnot see the substituted material in the line item when I create an order. Is this the correct method? or any changes need to be made? Please help.
