old MSCS configuration

Hi

Can I install "old" type(Central instance is included in cluster group.) MSCS.

The Netweaver 7.0, Central Instance(called PAS) and Dialog Instance(called AAS), must install on "local" host.

We want to include central instance in cluster group.

Hi!

Are we talking about ABAP Stack, Java Stack or Double Stack? I think it should be possible to install the system in the 'old' way by installing it as a 'Central' System on a virtual hostname and then do the MSCS setup required for the switching of the services manually...not 100% sure though if sapinst will allow this. BUT: SAP has some good reasons to not use this kind of architecture anymore - it depends on your situation if it's advisable or not to go against the SAP recommendations.

I think it would work but it would not be supported by SAP.

It would be kind of stange to have a High Avalaibility system unsupported...
