Condition Exclusion

Former Member

Hello,

Please let me know if the following scenario is possible to handle through standard SAP:

There are 2 discount condition types - ZAAA and ZBBB. If the system finds condition record for both the condition types then it should consider only ZAAA for calculation. i.e. irrespective of the best/worst discount between ZAAA and ZBBB, it should consider only ZAAA.

Let me know the settings for this please.

Thanks,

Shankar

Hi there,

Further to my response, you will do this in SPRO --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Fusntions --> Pricing --> Condition Exclusion --> Condition Exclusion for groups of conditions.

Hello Sivanand,

My requirement is that the system should not judge weather ZAAA / ZBBB discount condition type is better. But whenever the condition record has been found for ZAAA and ZBBB condition types, it must consider only ZAAA condition record for calculation (irrespective of better/ worst between them).

Thanks,

Shankar

Hi there,

When you say "whenever system finds ZAAA & ZBBB, use only ZAAA", what does it mean when it has just ZAAA or ZBBB?

For this also, you can define it as condition exclusion. But in the exclusion procedure you can have a customized code. That if in the condition group, system has both ZAAA & ZBBB. always apply ZAAA.

Also check if it is possible to make the same logic in requirement routine that we assign to the condtion type ZAAA.

But before that, pls discuss with business how they are going to manage the situation which has only ZAAA or ZBBB.

Hello Sivanand,

If only ZAAA record is found then ZAAA will be applied.

If only ZBBB record is found then ZBBB will be applied.

If both ZAAA and ZBBB records are found then only ZAAA should be applied.

Hi there

Are these condition types manually entered in SO. It looks so depending on the reqirement to have only ZAAA when both are entered.

Also in the pricing procedure, in the requirement routine of the ZAAA, put a condition that of both ZAAA & ZBBB exist for the order, then apply only ZAAA.

Check if you could do the same in condition exclusion.

Hi,

Condition exclusion indicator

Indicates whether the system automatically excludes the discounts that are proposed during pricing.

Use

You can set this indicator in two ways:

For a particular condition record (the field appears on the Details screen)

For all records of a particular condition type (the field appears on the screen where you define the condition type)

The system can exclude conditions so that they are not taken into account during pricing in sales documents.

Material 4711 costs 150 USD. Some customers receive a discount of 10 USD per 100 pieces.

However, a specific customer can buy the material for 100 USD. Since this is a particularly good price, the customer should not also have a discount of 10 USD per 100 pieces. Therefore, this discount is to be excluded from pricing.

To do this, you must follow two steps:

You must set a condition exclusion indicator for the price. You can do this in two ways: If you want to set the condition exclusion indicator a follows then you specify it:

- for all condition records of a condition type (e.g. with condition type PR00) when defining a condition type in SD Customizing

- for an individual condition record (e.g. only for material 4711) in the detail screen of a condition record (in the Condition exclusion field)

You must set a condition for the discount in the pricing procedure in Customizing for sales. If this condition is set, the discount is not valid if the condition exclusion indicator is set. Condition 2 is available in the standard R/3 System.

The condition exclusion indicator is not valid for condition supplements.

This means that if a condition record contains condition supplements they will be taken into account during pricing.

Hi,

when you want only zaaa to be considered, then in the def.of the condition type zaaa specify 'x' for the field exclusion so that the other discounts will not be considered.Just try this and see whether it works or not.

Hi there,

1st define a new condition exclusion type XY.

Assign both ZAAA & ZBBB into XY.

Define in the exclusion procedure that system should select the best among the group or least among the group.

So in the rpicing procedure, whenever the system finds the 2 condition types, it will look at the relevant condition exclusion & then apply as per what is maintained in the exclusion procedure.

HI sankar

you can configure the following with the condition exclusion technique

the menu path is

SD> Basic functions> condition exclusion

in that

do the foillowing

1) Define Condition Exclusion Groups- create your own group

2)Assign condition types to the exclusion groups- maintain the 2 zz condiotns listed above

3)Maintain condition exclusion for pricing procedures

this should enable you to achive your objective
