Hi,
When the original credit was issued I
thought I removed the excise tax. The $ value on the return I issued
and the invoice that was generated is different. Why?

Check what access sequence your condition types are accessing, this may be because of your conditions types are undergoing pricing update, and values are flowing from some other access sequence
