It doesn't sound like a right choice implementing WM for consumables, as the ydo not carry any value on them and depending on the material type, it might not be stored either.
Consumables are assigned an account category, so the value is consumed to that account and are usually NLAG, DIEN, UNBW.. unless they are quantity managed, So, WM for these is a really an effort that might not yield results that you expect
