want to become PLM consultant

hi ,

im basically an abaper.

i want to learn PLM and interested to be a PLM Consultant.Does this PLM require functional knowledge on SD & MM?

i got some knowledge on DMS .

does this help me in PLM .

Please do suggest and give me the approach how to become a PLM Consultant.

Further, you must be know to it but informing you that, Take a training from SIEMENS/GENOVATE/SAPLABS is also a good idea.
