Hi,

Where can I find all the logs of the netwiever?

If I'm running some rfc transaction on the NW system - where can I find the relevant logs for that?

hi again,

glad u found it. u can turn on the rfc trace :

- sm59

- open the rfc connection in charge

- tick the option to trace the action

when ready u should see more information in ST11 in the dev_rfc* trace

files.

Dont forget to untick the trace option in sm59 when ready

cheers

Hi,

pls run transaction ST11. In there you will see the dev_rfc* tracefiles in

where the rfc actions are logged.

tx man,

I finally found these files, but all the dev_rfc* files are empty.

Is there anything I have to turn on for that?

Hi!

Your question is quite vague...a good starting point for you is probably the 'work' directory of your system...can be found in a path like the following:

/usr/sap//work

There you will find a lot of traces from the different kinds of processes running in your instance.

http://help.sap.com might be interesting for you as well. This is not at all Netweaver specific though, but very general SAP knowhow...

I'm new to NetWeaver as well, but if youu2019re working on Windows youu2019ll maybe find the log messages using the SAP Management Console. Right click on the Instance and choose u201CAll Tasksu201D -> u201CAnalyse Developer tracesu2026u201D
