SAP XI V/S SAP JCO

Hi All

I am new to SAP XI.

Pls let me know the advantages / dis-advantages of using SAP JCO instead of SAP XI

Hi,

SAP JCO is used to Communicate with the JAVA Applications and the SAP Applications only

Where as SAP XI is used to communicate with the all Type of Applications not only with JAVA Application

Ex: SAP with Database, SAP with Webservice, SAP with Legacy Systems

Hi,

JCO was used for only integration with JAVA based applications only. SAP XI/PI can communicate with any type of system through adapters. XI is completely developed in java meanwhile XI can support ABAP/JAVA code. Better to choose SAP XI instead of JCO.
