Sending & receiving sms through Java application

Hi Techs

I want to do two things:-

(1) First I want to send an sms through my application to any mobile number.

(2) Second, If user replies to that sms, some how I want to process that reply in my application.

Using any technologies, preferably java/jee.

Please suggest what all I need to have for these and how can I do that.
