Change of deployment type

Hi,

We have Push deployment for all our products. We are planning to change to Pull and Push/Pull. What kind of changes in master data settings and any other changes in the system?

I appreciate if any one can also point me to some documentation on the kind of changes we need to make.

Thanks.

Hi Visu,

You need to define

1. Define Push Distributn on SNP Deploymt Profle on SNP2 tab .

2. Define Push Depl. Hor. on SNP Supply Profile on SNP2 tab .

3.Define Pull Depl. Hor. on SNP Demand Profile on SNP2 tab .

4.Maintain Global SNP Settings

Depl.: Pull Horizon : message and no message.

"

This parameter is used by deployment heuristic. If you run deployment

for a location product using the pull method or pull/push method and

have not specified a pull deployment horizon for this product,

deployment cannot select SNP stock transfers to be processed. In this

instance, the system displays the following message in the background

processing log No transportation lane found for source &1 and product

&2. If you intend to plan a large product range, you might want to

choose not to display this message.

The default setting is Message, meaning that a message is displayed"

you can use BAPI or FUNCTION_LOADER_INLAY to update master data.

You need to update the settings in Location Product master in SNP 2 tab page in Depolyment profile..

The key change when moving from push deploymen to pull or push pull is consider the demand/sales orders for deployment in replacement to receipts in case of push deployment. So you should update

ATI issue = BM category in SNP 2 Tab in location product and SNP tab in location master.
