What happens in SAP when a customer does not take the discount or if the discount expires?

Hi there,

In SAP if any condition record expires, system will not default the value into the pricing. This is only for optional discounts like customer discounts. But for mandatory discounts like PR00, MWST system will throw an error message like Mandatory condition type PR00 missing. That is the reason why mandatory discounts are given infinite validity (31.12.9999) sothat if there is any change in value, condition records are changed.

What do you mean by customer not wishing to take discount? If you dont want to maintain a discount for a customer, delete the condition records.

Hello,

If the customer doen't want the discount, then that discount condition can be deleted manually from the sales order.

If the discount condition is set as customer specific, you may set a deletion indicator in the discount condition in VK12.

Logically thinking, all the customers accept discount which is provided by the company.

Discount is depends upon the company policies..... & did n't depends upon the customer.

Customer always wants discount...

Some cases if u r offering some free goods which are inclusive in that case customer can ask to deduct the value of the free goods from the order value instead of the free goods.For that u have to maintain NRAB condition type in ur pricing procedure.

If the discount expires then the system will not pick the discount value in ur order.

it will not show any error
