How install the NWDI as seperate box

Hi Friends,

I have seen many people are suggesting to sepearte the NWDI installation from the portal.

Currently as we are in building the prototype stage. We have alredy installed the sandbox for portal. But we havent installed the NWDI.

We need to install the NWDI in seperate system. As i am new to this installation . I am requesting you query the following questions.

How i need to inall NWDI in seperate system? Will that come as installable like (EXE file). ? where are i can find that insallable in licenced CD ?

What are configurations need to be take care for point that nwdi insallation for portal and SLD?

Does it requires to install the DB seperately ?

Once it is installed, how to point the existing portal to the NWDI

HI,

As you have already installed server for portal

NWDI installation is not too much different from other WAS installation.

Inistall DB seperatly

you can get its CD's or dump from SAP market place.

SLD configuration is also same as simple WAS server. fro m there you can point to portal or LDAP servers. serach SAP notes for SLD configuration
