Unable to deploy

Hi,

I try to deploy a local WebDynpro Application (Java) and get this error message:

Reason: com/sap/ide/dii05/util/api/diilog/Severity

Looking in File ".log" I find this exception:

!ENTRY org.eclipse.core.jobs 4 2 2008-08-22 15:39:21.140

!MESSAGE An internal error occurred during: "Deploying project(s) 'WDTestCS'".

!STACK 0

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sap/ide/dii05/util/api/diilog/Severity

at com.sap.ide.eclipse.sdm.threading.OptionalDiiLogImpl.diiLog(OptionalDiiLogImpl.java:31)

at com.sap.ide.eclipse.sdm.threading.OptionalDiiLog.diiLog(OptionalDiiLog.java:38)

at com.sap.ide.eclipse.sdm.threading.DeployThreadManager.deploy(DeployThreadManager.java:258)

at com.sap.ide.eclipse.sdm.SDMManager.deployArchives(SDMManager.java:149)

at com.sap.ide.webdynpro.archivebuilder.ActionDeployArchive$DeployJob.run(ActionDeployArchive.java:214)

at org.eclipse.core.internal.jobs.Worker.run(Worker.java:55)

In "Window / Preferences / SAP AS Java" I have configured the server and system I want to deploy to.

Thanks for each hint,

Christoph

Hi!

Can you deploy anything, e.g. SAP standard WD applications?

Did the build work correctly?

Is the system alive where you want to deploy (is it the local Java Engine on your PC)?

Did the popup come up asking you for the SDM password?

Otherwise I would say you have an installation problem with your IDE. Do you still have access to the installation log files of your NWDS?

Regards,

Volker

Meanwhile I have deinstalled the Studio and installed it again. This solved the problem. I don't know what I did diefferent in the second attempt. So problem is solved but the reason: I don't know.

Hi!

Unfortunately this is sometimes the best/only way to fix such kinds of bugs.

But on the other hand it's nice to hear that your problem is solved now.

And thanx for the points.

Regards,

Volker
