Incoming Mails in SAP

Hello,

How to determine the mail address of the user in SAP if we intend to send mails from outlook etc... to SAP inbox.

I would like to know the process of configuration to be done for recieving emails to SAP inbox from external mail sources.

Hello Juan,

Thanks for the reply, i have created a virtual SMTP host as i have several clients in the Instance and did change all the profile values as mentioned in the document.

my concern is how will be the address format if i intend to send mail to the user in the client i created a virtual host.

will it be like <username at virtualhost.domain.com>

if so how will it recognize the virtual host name as it is defined internally in SAP.

the domain should be the same as the one configured in SCOT...

Our SAP server is located in a differnet Domain.

if that is the case is there a workaround we can send mails to SAP inbox.

As far as i know the SMTP server should be in the same domain as the SAP system. I don't really know if theres any workaround but someone must be able to point you in the right direction if there is one.
