Not able to configure SAP J2EE Engine

Former Member

Hi Guys,

I am new to SAP. I installed trial version of SAP CE7103_IM_WIN_I386_ADA_ using sapinst.exe(v71). It installed and run successfully. I also installed sapNWDS (7.0.14) and created a sample application. Both application is on the same system. Now while I am trying to deploy it on SAP J2EE server It's throwing Deployment aborted.

While I am trying to select local engine from

windows>preference>SAP J2EE Engine --> SAP J2EE engine is installed on local host

I am getting error message:

No local engine could be found!

Reason : No system could be found under
JAVA1133\sapmnt

Please configure your engine as remote host installation

see error log for more information

In sapmmc:

I can see jstart.EXE and igswd.EXE is running.

I have already tried it with passing localhost ip and port (50000,3061, 3601 etc) but any thing is not working

Now my question is:

How can I check my installation is correct?

How do I know my SAP J2EE engine is up and running?

Do I need to do any post-installation configuration?

I appreciate any input on this.

Thanks in anticipation,

Prakash Rastogi

Hello,

Pankaj Pathak created a good summary of available Blogs and documents about the NWDI topic a while ago.

So please check his post in the following thread --> [link|/thread/733827 ;

Hope it helps.

This issue is resolved. I used port 3901 rather 3601

in my case it was working in by passing system name or ip or localhost.

thanks
