Problem with Language Import (could not create cofile)

Former Member

Hi everybody

I'm trying to load the language pack "Spanish", but falls and gives me the following message

"could not create cofile"

Somebody could give me some indication on how to overcome this mistake, I've seen out there and some queries, but I have not overcome my problem!

I have created the "Transport System" and charged the language in "DEV Server," but I can not bring it to "test" if the attempt to import "TCode SMLT" gives me the error above.

thanks

Hello:

I just ran across the exact same problem on my SCM system. It was resolved by applying the latest kernel patch to our system.

I would suggest that and see if it helps. It will give you an updates TP & R3/Trans.

At the end it solved, copying from another server that is successful the burden of language folder cofile and data, this was done for "instance" and then restarting the loading process of language.

At one point I could make the burden of the language correctly, but after loading an update of the damage was oracle database and Debi reinstalling everything, and then I could not reload the language.

thanks for your help!!

hi,

could u pls do the following 2 tests :

- go into transaction Al11 and see if you can see the contents of directory

\ \ m-sap \ sapmnt \ trans \ cofiles ? Or do you get an error message ?

- go into windows explorer, right click on \ \ m-sap \ sapmnt \ trans \ cofiles

-> properties : how much space is left in the directory ?

That problem is usually related to permission problems. Check the permission of the directory

\usr\sap\trans\cofile

I have all the permissions on the folders at the time of taking the language pack is distributed in the folder cofiles and data, but is unable to install language.

The initial charge was Initial Entry, and then began with the burden of language pack ECC 6

A language import runs in three phases, the first is an ABAP program, the second is the transport process using tp/R3trans and the third is ABAP postprocessing.

Did you set up your TMS already?

@5CQError@ Could not create cofile

And user SAPServiceECP has full permissions to

mts-sapsapmnt ranscofiles? Directory there and accessible?

Did you do that import maybe on another system having the same transport directory and the resulting cofile can´t be overwritten (due to permissions)?

Hi Markus

SAP users have all permits in the "\ \ m-sap \ sapmnt \ trans \ cofiles"

The server is only installed 6 ECC, the STMS is defined in the transport system for 3 environments "DEV, TEST and PRD," could be cause of this problem?

When I testing to verify the Transport System, these are all correct.

At this time, to overcome the problem meanwhile remains for me to load the language pack NW 2004s, the problem is that business applications are still in English.

thanks

the problem is not the language pack.

the system tries to create a data and a cofile out of the language file (it´s trying to extract it so to speak) and the "tp" program is unable to write the file to the directory you gave in your TMS installation.

I would open an OSS call and let the support have a look on the system what can be wrong.

Hi Manuel,

You could try the solution given by Michael, check the following thread.

If the solution does not help you, copy and paste the action log and the transport log.

Hi, Eydar!!

Unable to solve the problem, I load the new language but remain outside all business applications (HR, FI, GM, etc.) you're left with the basic language (EN, DE), I put down the logs that I requested. This happens when loading the language pack ECC 6, thinking that might have a problem which came in the DVD, download the same package from service.sap.com getting the same result.

check the permission for .PAT file(language inst. file) in EPS/in directory.
