Restricting 'Control Area' Charecteristic in BI

Hi All,

One small clarification please ,some infocubes have 'Control Area' charecteristic which is Auth Relevant so when running queries based on 'Company Code' on those infocubes its also looking for the authorization for 'Control Area' char so i gave '*' for that but even then its showing auth error.

Then i changed the 'Contorl Area' auth value to 'specific value' and not '*' then its working, So to give a FULL Authorization to 'CONTROL AREA' char how it can be given.

Please some one help me in this issue.

Thanks

Padmaja.

Hi Padmaja,

Turn on the Auth Check for Control Area and then see what you get in RSECADMIN trace.

*(astrik) should have served the purpose. But i would like to see what error does it captures in RSECADMIN trace.

Regards,

Zaheer

Hi Zaheer,

Thanks for the reply.

It worked with "*' ,actually i have given the value as ':' (colon) as an aggregated authorization which didn't work.

Thanks

Padmaja.
