Activities to be done in SAP XI after an SAP Upgrade

Dear all,

Here is a specific requirement where in the SAP CRM production system with which our SAP XI server is talking to is going for an upgrade.(CRM 5.2 - 6.0)

I want to know all the activities and things to be checked in/looked for in our SAP XI server to ensure that everything (i mean messages flowing properly) is working fine after the SAP CRM upgrade, as it was before the upgrade.

Please list out the tasks to be carrried out in SAP XI after the SAP CRM upgrade. I think this question is mostly related to the BASIS part.

Your answers would help me a lot.

Hi,

You need to consider below points while upgrading the SAP CRM system

1. RFC Destination setups in SAP as well as in XI system

2. Proxy configuration if any (HTTP Destination and sproxy)

3. Technical system & Business systems are upgraded with the latest information in SLD

4. All the R/3 developments IDOCs, RFC/BAPI and proxy related developments are working fine.

5. Any Security settings if any

Apart from checking these things, do we have check for any username and password setting changes for service users in XI like XIAFUSER etc.

Do we have a guide on sdn, which carries all the points mentioned by you.Please provide the link if any.
