Hello Jamil,

there is no guru needed... just check sapnote #309526 .. it describes the procedure step by step.

Hi Stephen,

thanks for ur reply, Dear i asked about ORA ARCHIVE file because i read 309526 snote which describe the procedure of Redo log file, not the ORA ARCHIVE file.

Please guide me, how can i reduce the size of ORAARCH file.

regards,

jamil

The Redo log files are archived to the ORAARCH destination. So if you reduce the size of the redolog files, the oraarch files will be reduced.

And to add:

I highly suggest getting familiar with Oracle redo/archive concept by reading

http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14220/intro.htm#sthref35
