given message "Table /BI0/FXXXXXXXX has more than 1000 partitions

hi experts,

I tried to export BI7.0(AS-ABAP) by R3load. Before start sapinst for export, I ran report SMIGR_CREATE_DDL with following options.

・SQL2005 decimal compressed

・SQL 2005 and higher (not compressed)

Then it's given message "Table /BI0/FXXXXXXXX has more than 1000 partitions."

So, I checked note 1010854 - Tables with too many partitions on MS SQL Server 2005. the instruction is like

・you must compress the requests in the source system so that the 1000 partition limit is not exceeded.

・you must compress the old requests (in the E fact table) before you can load the new requests (in new partitions).

How to compress table contains partitions??

If anyone knows how to do it, please give me advice.

Best Regards

MASAKI

Dear Amit,

Thank your for your message.

Ive done some compression cubes by trs.RSA1.

And almost completed.

But one cube which has to be compressed remains.

Its table name is /BIC/F100101 . In general I was thinking the cube naming coversion is like following,

cube name: Z_ABCDEF

table name: /BIC/FZ_ABCDEF

in this case of the cube, I cant find the cube name in RSA1 with this naming conversion.

Is this special cube ?? that's why i cant find??

According to a web site, by aggregation activities, the table name has chaged and become /BIC/F100XXX like count up.

Anybody knows how to get this cube name ??

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards
