Hi,
I install ECC 6.0 on windows 2003 server 32-bit with Oracle 10.2 database. And I find that the kernel of ECC 6.0 is only Kernel Patch number 114. So I want to upgrade the kernel of it. Can you please let me know the step by step procedure.
Thanks in advance
Skumar
hi ,
following are some helpful points for the kernel upgrade.
1) check the spam and support pack level are latest levels.
2) download the required kernel patch from the market place.
3) uncar them in the eps/in directory.
4) schedule the downtime for the kernel upgrade.
5) inform all the users regarding that (i.e., logoff all the users).
6) stop all the services before performing the kernel upgrade.
7) make two directories run (old) and new run (new).
😎 copy the existing kernel executables into the run(old).
9) copy the kernel exe files (which are downloaded and uncarred in the eps/in) into the run(new).
10) try to restart the server.

bhupesh

Hi,
Stop your SAP system.
Take a backup of the exe folder and then uncar the files and paste them in the exe folder .
Start your sap system.
Please search in SDN there are lot many posts on this.
Kernal upgrade process is same on every os.
