HA on CI

We have an already non HA CI DI working on a host.

Now we want to have a cluster failover solution with an external storage.

I suppose I have to reinstall the CI with HA option node a then node B.

When I come to the DI, is it necessary to setup it again or can I use the existing one in the storage?

Hi

I assume that you talk about ABAP stack on NW70 or NW71.

In ABAP stack DB and CI (ASCS) is SPOF,

so you should check DB also as well as CI(ASCS).

DI is not necessary to reinstall.

What you should do is change the profile parameter

which relates to the hostname of CI(ASCS) to

the correct CI (virtual) hostname.

You may also consider HA for transport host.

Yes its a only ABAP Stack nw70.

When you say DB , you mean the binaries of the DB not the data file and logs files right?

So I should reinstall the binaries of the db, or should I add the file system to the solution cluster ?
