The physical drawing procedure is used to define how the actual samples are taken. I.e. how many primary samples, how many pooled samples, (made from portions of the primary samples), and how many reserve samples, (to be kept for storage).
It can also define container types and allows for certain multipliers so that there is extra quantity for things like retests. When a physical drawing procedure is used, it also has functionality available for assigning individual sample numbers for each sample taken and to print sample labels for them.
The sample drawing procedure can only be used if you are using inspection plans and it is specified in the header of the inspection plan. (QP02).
