Hi All,
I have just migrated our Development system from a disributed Windows System to Linux. We have ECC6, running on 2 Linux servers one is the CI and the other the DB host.
I have installed a stand alone gateway on the DB host, but when I try to schedule a job in the DBA Calendar the SAPXPG program tries to connect to the old DB server (NSWMSVM10)??
Has anyone see this before? Or know what could be wrong?
Thanks

Thanks guys for the input but this hasn't fixed my problem.
My basic problem is that jobs created in the DBA Calendar are trying to execute on the previous DB Host.
I have changed the SAPDBHOST parameter to point to the correct host, I have updated the gateway in formation in the RFC destination SAPXPG_DBDEST_<SAPDBHOST>.
The system automatically creates an RFC desitination SAPXPG_DBDEST_<OLD-SAPDBHOST> and tries to execute externally programs with this RFC dest, and I don't know why?
(Just as a note, if I modify the hostname and gateway in the SAPXPG_DBDEST_<OLD-SAPDBHOST> RFC Dest, it all works fine, but why is it using this old hostname?)
I must have missed a parameter setting or some config somewhere, please any know??
Thanks
Chris

Hi,
For Unix/Linux
Check with OSS note from http://service.sap.com/notes.
Note 446172 - SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE (program_start_error) in DB13
For Windows;
You must activate the SAP Gateway , before starting a backup on a standalone Windows NT database server, using BRBACKUP. Do the following:
1. Choose Tools ® Administration ® Administration ® Network ® RFC destinations.
Alternatively use Transaction SM59.
2. Click + to open the TCP/IP connections node.
3. Double-click SAPXPG_DBDEST
4. Choose Destination ® Gateway options
5. Specify a Gateway Host and a Gateway Service
6. Choose O.K. and save the transaction.
