Hi,
Everytime the client said 'DN', are they refering Delivery Note or Delivery order(Or such whole Delivery..etc).
I am confused.
From my understanding, DN is the output document from delivery, for example: Shipping notice..etc
Thank you.
Hi there,
Following can be the shipping docs in a delivery:
1. delivery note
2. picking list
3. Any invoice O/p like stock transfer invoice for those docs in which billing is not done.
4. Material doc or GI list.
When you client says drop or create DN, he means delivery document. When he asks if DN is printed then he means delivery note. Many companies use these terms interchangebly. So dont get confused. Need to interpret as per the situation.
Regards,
Sivanand

Hello,
In our case, DN is normally meant for the delivery document.

Hello,
D stands for delivery and N stands for Note.
Delivrey document is the delivery you created with reference to your sales order. The following shipping documents exist:
1. Delivery
2. Material document which contains information on goods issue
3. Grouped deliveries
The shipping notification contains the anticipated delivery date, the quantities, and details of the materials (and/or services).
