Can navigational attributes be used to release/transfer frecast to SNP/R3

Folks,

Apart from characteristics, can navigational attributes also be used in the to release/transfer forecast to SNP/R3 by creating selection ID's and using them in background jobs ?

Not for SNP. You can only release by product and Location. In case you want to use any other characteristics, you can try using descriptive characteristics but SNP does not recognize descriptive characteristics.

For R/3 transfer, you can create a selection id and release data only for that selection. You cannot release at any other level except the product and Location though.

correct me If I am wrong. Forecast release from DP to SNP also can be executed as background job. In this job, selection ID's can still have navigational attirbutes as well as characteristics.

When you say "Forecast release from DP to SNP also can be executed as background job", are you saying you can release forecast to SNP using a background job created in MC8D and use an activity.

yes. You can create an activity with release profile and create a job in MC8D where you can give a selection id that has navigational attributes. That means you are releasing a selective set of data.

You cannot specify the selection profile when using MC90 or program RTSOUTPUT.

This data still has to be at the product and Location level.
