Customizing NWBC

Hi All,

We have installed NWBC and I can log into SAP etc and it all works fine.

What we want to do now is to start customizing it, we have been told there is a way of adding a logo to the main log on screen, is this the same logo as you configure/see in SAPgui, or is there another way of adding a logo to the NWBC? We also want to know if there is anyway of changing the branding and look and feel of the NWBC?? Does anyone know of a way to do this???

Hi Simon,

If you want customize the NWBC you can use Demo Assistant for SAP Business All-in-One (for SAP employees and SAP Business All-in-One partners only).

But there is also manual way.

If you want to upload own logo into NWBC try to replace the logo graphic in file c:\Program Files\SAP\Frontend\SAPgui\logo.png in PNG file format .

The URL entry is added to the NWBCClient.ini file

in the [Settings] section as for example BRANDING_PAGE=http://www.sap.com.

Normally this file is located in C:\Documents and Settings\[UserID]\My documents\NWBCclient.ini

Hi Simon,

I'm not sure if you have found out the anser to your questions yet, I can tell you that is is possible to setup NWBC with a splash or logon screen by adding an entry to the config file. You can find this by searching for 'NWBCclient.ini' in your 'My Documents' folder.

When you find it, open it and make an entry in the 'Branding_page' line. We added a link to the company website - as shown,

BRANDING_PAGE=http://www.g3it.com/

Hello Martin Stuart / Simon,

We are also trying to configure the Home page of the NWBC to our website

eg: http://www.sap.com

I had edited the file "NWBCClient.ini" file by adding the following parameter :

BRANDING_PAGE =http://www.sap.com

It works when we open the NWBCClient ( I see the website page )and after the NWBC client logs in to the SAP system the Home page says the following error :

An unexpected error has occured . You can restart the session [here]. You can close teh window [here].

I am not sure why the Home page not getting displayed once after the SAP syatem login????

Any suggestion will be helpfull.

What have you done so far? What error's are you getting??

You have to make sure yo uuse the FQDN in the connection string and also the user that you are using to connect has to have appropriate menu roles assignes to in, rather than just authorisations.
